Emily lives and works in Sydney, on the unceded lands of the Gadigal people. Her fiction has been published in Meanjin, Debris, Prism and The Big Issue. She also writes essays and reviews, which have appeared in Meanjin, Kill Your Darlings, The Lifted Brow, Going Down Swinging and other places.

In 2019 she received her MSt in Creative Writing from St Catherine’s College, Oxford University. Her unpublished manuscript was shortlisted for the 2024 Vogel Prize.
